Absolute Harmony are the a capella choir of the Royal Holloway University of London Students Union.

Every year, Absolute Harmony put on a Christmas show. This event is always filled with magic and wonder, and the 2006 Christmas Concert was possibly the most magical yet. Absolute Harmony (along with the Revelation Rock Gospel choir and the Savoy Opera society) sold out the University chapel, leaving a queue that stretched halfway along the Founder’s building outside in the cold, only able to listen from outside.

Revelation Rock Gospel performed first, with Absolute Harmony following up before the break. During the break, a small group from the Savoy Opera (Gilbert and Sullivan) society performed a couple of songs to promote their coming performance of The Pirates of Penzance.

I appologise in advance for the poor quality of this footage - my camera isn’t really all that good, and it will only allow you to film one minute at a time before it has to save the video. Hence, the concert is broken up into very small chunks, with short gaps between each segment. Also, the video tends to focus on me quite a bit, as it was filmed by my sister. Oh well, you’re really here for the audio, right? I hope that you are able to come to our next concert and not have to rely on YouTube to experience the magic of Absolute Harmony!

This is the second part of Absolute Harmony’s opening number - The Carol of the Bells.

Absolute Harmony’s third number was the magnificent ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay. One of our musical directors, Matt, was determined to make every mum in the audience cry. I think he succeeded. This is the third part.

Jarrett- lead
Sam- Tenor
Brianna- Alto
Chantel- Alto
Xenia- Soprano
Jakaja- Soprano

I have recorded all three parts as well as the lead, so when you all sing as a group, this is what you should sound like singing harmony together without music. I know you all can do it! & you’re gonna be so proud of yourselves once this is all over with. People are talking about the ensemble & we’ve already got engagements lined up— I told you it would come!! Probably a lot sooner than you all expected. But pray & stay humble– don’t get the big head, because that’s when the devil starts to win. If you have any questions, call me–806.928.3663. I may be in rehearsals or something but just leave a message & a number I can reach you at & I’ll call you back.
